Everything you need to know about Track and Thrive
Track and Thrive Kenya is a wellness innovation and behavior change company transforming how individuals, families, and communities manage and reverse Type 2 diabetes and lifestyle diseases—through real-time tracking, education, and data-led support. Founded by MEL Specialist and author Daisy Cherono Rono, Track and Thrive Kenya was born from a personal journey of turning a chronic condition into a mission. Today, it is a growing movement built around one core belief: “What gets measured, gets mastered.”
We combine the power of data, the simplicity of real-world tools, and the strength of community to support long-term health outcomes in ways that are affordable, accessible, and culturally relevant.
We empower individuals and organizations to take control of their wellness through:
At Track and Thrive Kenya, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. Every person’s body, context, and challenges are different. That’s why we use a blended model of:
Glucometer, step counts, fasting logs
Habit design, nudges, group challenges
Swahili resources, food swaps, faith-based framing
Through digital communities and in-person CHVs
Our approach at track and thrive is real-world, data-driven, and human-first, built on over 15 years of designing MEL systems for measurable impact in global health programs. I believe:
The S.I.M.P.L.E. Protocol™, created by Daisy Rono, is a Kenyan-rooted lifestyle framework designed to reverse insulin resistance and manage type 2 diabetes naturally. Inspired by her own journey from a near-fatal diagnosis to thriving health, Daisy developed this approach around six core pillars: quality sleep and stress relief, intermittent fasting, consistent movement, protein and healthy fats, low-carb living with proper hydration, and emotional well-being. Simple yet powerful, this protocol empowers everyday East Africans to track their progress, reclaim their health, and thrive.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Specialist • Author • Diabetes Educator
Hi, I’m Daisy Cherono Rono, a Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Specialist with over 15 years of experience designing data-driven systems for donor-funded programs to measure impact and deliver actionable insights. I’ve worked with local and international organizations to transform data into change—and eventually, I turned that same lens inward.
In 2018, I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes when it landed me to the the High Dependency Unit with Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)—a life-threatening complication I never saw coming. I was in denial, scared, and overwhelmed. That’s when my father, who has lived with diabetes since I was a child, asked me something that shifted everything:
“Do I look like I’m dying soon?”
That moment gave me the courage to stop fearing the disease and start facing it. I decided to treat my health like one of the MEL projects I run collecting data, testing interventions, tracking progress, and adjusting with discipline.
Using a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM), I began tracking my sugar levels daily. I experimented with intermittent fasting, reduced my carb intake, walked 10,000 steps a day, and focused on healing not just physically—but emotionally too. Slowly, the data told a new story:
Today, I’m not just managing diabetes—I’m thriving with it. I founded Track and Thrive Kenya to help others do the same. Through tools, training, and real-world education, I support people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unheard in their health journey. You don’t have to do it alone. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, burned out, or just want to feel better in your body, I’m here to walk with you—one step at a time.
This journey inspired The S.I.M.P.L.E. Protocol™—a 6-step, data-driven system that reversed my symptoms and now empowers others to reclaim their energy and confidence through personalized tracking and self-mastery. Track and Thrive Kenya was born to bring these insights to individuals and organizations, proving that health can be simple, sustainable, and transformative.
My mission is to help others unlock their body’s potential with the same data-driven clarity I’ve honed over 14 years, tailored for busy Kenyan lifestyles.
At Track and Thrive Kenya, we believe reversing chronic illness isn’t just about numbers—it’s about people. That’s why we’ve built a team of passionate experts who bring together science, storytelling, and lived experience to walk the journey with you. Daisy Cherono Rono
